Daniel Baruch

Product Manager, IT

Thrill seeker, Adventurer, Voracious Learner
What do you do at Cydcor?

Day to day, my role impacts both business strategy and program execution. I dig deep into what the independent sales offices need and what pain points they have in order to help all of us achieve our goals. I work closely with our product owners, project managers, and IT team to ensure that we prioritize doing what’s right over what's easy. I work with our engineers to get the right product built, while trying to keep that product as simple as possible. I work with the Marketing, Service Innovation, and Learning and Development Department to clearly explain to the independent sales office owners and their reps how the product fulfills their needs better than what they have today.

As a Product Manager, I do whatever is needed to help make the sales offices and our team successful.

What makes Cydcor Special?

Impact. We make huge waves of positive impact throughout our Cydcor family and community. Whether it be our involvement with Operation Smile, working at a food bank with fellow team members, or seeing an owner become promoted to Organizational Consultant at a National Conference, the impact that we create is always there.

How has working at Cydcor helped you grow?

Cydcor has allowed me the opportunity to expand my educational and professional horizons. As an example, before becoming a Product Manager, I spent the majority of my career in Finance working on analysis, P&L reporting, and ensuring campaign and client profitability. I pivoted over to IT as opportunities opened and I let my curiosity within that career path take hold.

What makes Cydcor special is the way my managers and mentors have guided me throughout the growth process, recommending courses, tasks, and reading material in order to prepare me for the roles that I would take on. With this mentorship, I was able to confidently take on new challenges and present new ideas within our organization.

What is your favorite part of working at Cydcor?

At Cydcor, we are always challenging what we have always done. As an organization, we look at existing processes, company practices, and solutions with a fresh perspective, in order to improve upon the old. Our team constantly integrates user research, experimentation, and the right analytics into the product development process, resulting in better product decisions. I am excited for what challenges will come as we work with new clients and seeing how our team will grow in the upcoming months.

What do you love about the business?

The flexibility to present new ideas in a receptive environment is something that makes this business special. While working to explore how we can drive our business forward, it is extremely beneficial to have the ability to interact with a diverse talent pool of owners, sales reps, recruiters, and Cydcor team members. The community aspect of working closely with everyone helps move us toward our goal faster and more efficiently.
